08 Apr Spring Renaissance Flower Workshop- The Cotswold Flower School
Our Spring Renaissance Flower Workshop is heading to Cheltenham on the 20th April and is being held upstairs at Gusto Italian Deli Caffèe in the Montpellier area of Cheltenham from 10.30 – 2.00pm.
As I plan and plot for this workshop I’m sitting in my beautiful studio watching the dramatic sky go from the deepest darkest bluey grey to wisps of white clouds with patches of bright blue. The sky is amazing, April showers are well and truly with us and the magnolia tree in the garden is at it stunningly beautiful best.
The prep work for the Spring Renaissance Workshop is well underway. I’ve been sketching designs, sourcing flowers and plants and painting the containers.
Another part of the preparation included a visit to the National Gallery Dutch Flowers art exhibition. The detail and colour of the painting was incredible. The beautiful movement and flow of the flowers are countered by the incidental occasional appearance of a beetle , caterpillar or butterfly, all captured with exquisite beauty.
In our Spring Renaissance Flower Workshop we will be looking at creating our own Dutch/English floral master pieces, giving them additional wonderful visual interest by adding the unexpected.
I’m thrilled because not only will there be the most amazingly beautiful flowers and foliage supplied by Anne from http://www.ascottgardens.co.uk/, my local flower farm, but there will also be a delicious two course buffet lunch with tea, coffee and homemade biscuits from the incredible Gusto Deli team.
We’ve had a 70% take up of the places on the workshop so if you’d like to secure a place then please email me for a booking form on firstname.lastname@example.org. or phone 07843 339200. We look forward to welcoming you to The Cotswold Flower School at Gusto Italian Deli Caffèe. http://www.gusto-deli.com/
